Panama Scouting - Day 1 - Panama City Arrival

After a 24-hour trip, we landed in Panama late yesterday afternoon and worked our way through immigration, health affidavits, and customs - sans luggage, which appears to have been hung up in San Francisco. We hope to hear from our luggage in the next day or two; meanwhile, Miguel is doing laundry as I type.
The short video attached is the twilight view from our hotel room at the Zen Best Western in Panama City. Today we purchased a local phone, enjoyed haircuts and manicures, made a friend at the Super Mini store, and have a favorite Churroteria (churros aplenty, and real food, too,) on the corner. All that between naps as we adjust to the sleepless trip and the shift to the Eastern time zone.
Tomorrow, we go in search of a change of clothes and workout duds for Miguel, certain that if we invest in clothing, luggage will appear soon after the money is spent; a trigger event!
My goal is a photo per day, so you will hear from me again unless you opt out.
Aloha from the tropics, adios from Panama, Day 1!
